Charity April

Hello, April is Charity month where the ACBL allows clubs to run an unlimited number of Charity games for both local charities and the CBF Charity Fund. I Will be running 6 charity games in the month of April starting with a fundraiser for Cat’s Cradle Animal Rescue on April 2nd (Easter Monday). Mulligan Homestyle Swiss Pairs

Wednesday Speed Ball Pairs

Starting this Wednesday, January 17, I will be changing my Wednesday Pairs to the speed-ball format with less boards played in slightly less time.  The goal is to be done by 11:30 am and free up everyone’s whole afternoon.  Coffee and cookies will be free on Wednesday’s and boards will still be pre-duplicated with handrecords available.

REACH event in February

Island Bridge Club is polling the bridge community re: interest in earning gold points at club games for all games held between February 5-9.  There is a one time $30 USD fee to enter the event and you must play in at least 2 sessions to be eligible for gold point awards.  These awards are in addition to those earned at the club game and registration is per individual although your partner must be an ACBL member for you to…

I have an announcement for those planning on attending this coming Monday’s game at Island Bridge Club.  There is a scheduled power outage to the building that coincides with game time.  The work is starting at 8:30 am and is set to end at 3 pm although it may not take the whole time.  There will be lights available in the washrooms and limited lighting in the main hall.  If you have any camping lights, feel free to bring them. …
